So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you’re already doing this; just keep on doing it. ( 1 Thessalonians 5:11)
Encouraging words are an expression of love. We all need encouragement and God tells us to search for ways to encourage one another. Christian encouragement is vital and God knows we all need it! Christian encouragement will always lift someone’s heart towards the Lord.
Devotion: Speaking Encouraging Words to One Another
Because we are alive in Him, we can speak encouraging words to others that will fill their hearts and minds with hope. When we focus on the needs of other people, we in turn, get our own needs met as well!
The amount of care needed for the relationships in our lives occasionally shifts as seasons of life change. There are seasons when we personally need encouragement, and there are seasons where a friend or family member may need the encouragement more than we do.
But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. (Hebrews 3:13)
We give grace to others with our words. Fellowship with other believers and having an open line of communication with them are both key to ensure that we are kept built up by the relationships in our lives. When we speak encouraging words or do something to encourage someone, not only is the recipient blessed and strengthened, but the giver is equally blessed and made stronger in the process as well.
