Bright polish shades are fun, but having a few neutral shades to pull from makes deciding which color to wear super simple! Neutrals can be worn all year long, but also look especially good with a tan and on deeper skin in spring and summer. I don’t always take the time to go to the nail salon for a mani & pedi. So many times, I do my own nails at home with a fast dry topcoat to cut back on time 🙂 Today I’m sharing my most loved neutral nail polish shades that flatter any skin tone and compliment any outfit. Best Neutral Nail Polish Shades For Every Skin Tone
Essie Gel Couture Preshow Jitters
The Gel Couture line by Essie is perfection in a bottle! You get 14 days shine and chip-free wear with this line. The color payoff is impressive and its easy to get the gel look with no UV light. Using 2 thin coats and then the designated clear gel finish top coat works like a charm. There are many colors to choose from in this line. Preshow Jitters is a creamy white polish with a hint of pale pink that looks good on both hands and feet 🙂
This neutral is just gorgeous and never competes with anything else I’m wearing. It’s a pale khaki shade and usually takes just two coats to look fully opague.
This is a classic! It is white, but a softer white once applied. It is build-able, so it can be worn fully opaque or sheer depending on how many coats used. It’s the perfect neutral! Two coats gets the job done when I want it to be opaque.
Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Extreme Wear, White On
This is a true bright white! Not only is is super affordable and easy to find in drugstores, but the formula goes on well and very opaque. I get the best look when I apply three coats of this one. It is a good alternative for OPI Alpine Snow. Definately a spring and summer favorite!
What’s not to love about a soft pink goes on semi- sheer and light? Barely there pinks are ultra-feminine and a must in any neutral polish lineup! Two coats looks beautiful and effortless. This exact shade is a bit harder to find in stores, but you can find it online. The infamous Essie Ballet Slippers would be a similar alternative for this shade.
A metallic rose gold shade that goes on really smooth and light? YES! This works as a neutral, with a twist, and goes with anything. It adds a little sparkle without being too flashy. Two coats looks fabulous and the glitter bits are fine milled, not chunky.
This is a milky and subtle blue-gray that once applied, leans more on the pale gray side. I love using it as a neutral because the color is so soft and gives just a hint of fun. Two coats is all you need!
