So…I have a slight obsession. An obsession with a particular popular shoe: Valentino Rockstud pumps, to be exact 🙂 Aren’t they just beautiful???

Valentino Rockstud T-Strap Pump, $995.00

Ladies, I have been drooling over these shoes, in all the colors, patterns, and most heel heights available for quite some time now. These beauties can be worn with so much and even during the day~ the styling possibilites are endless.  I love that they are so chic, have some classic elements, are ladylike, and edgy all at the same time. The only drawback is the hefty price tag! They are incredibly gorgeous shoes and are comfy and stylish, but I have been on the lookout for a comparable dupe. I think I may have found the best dupe out there yet~ and I am super picky about dupes- in fact, I usually don’t go for dupes of things I adore this much!

I saw these look-alikes, the BCBG Generation Darron pump, while at a local DSW and they are a fraction of the price of the Valentino version that sells for  just under $1,000 a pair.  If purchased at DSW, store coupons can even be applied making them even more of a steal! They are available at many others stores as well.  I mean they look almost identical!  The main difference I see right off hand is the Darron in this particular height option has double t- straps around the ankle, as opposed to the one strap on the Valentino version in this height option. The Darron features a heel height of 3 1/2 inches, while the Valentino version has a heel height of 4 inches.  The patent nude coloring between the two is slightly different in tone, but both have the studded details and adjustable strap/straps. As expected, there is a difference in materials used to make each. Regardless of materials used, both seem to be very well made.  Take a look at the BCBG Generation version:

BCBG Generation Darron Pump, $69.95

The quality on the BCBG Generation Darron is great and they get a five star rating on the DSW site (anyone else look up tons of reviews on EVERYTHING before they buy? haha). Even better, right?  I love all of the colors, textures, heel heights, and patterns available, but I settled on getting the patent nude for my first pair. Nude matches everything and I cannot wait to wear these on an upcoming date night with my husband 🙂 They fit true to size and feel very sturdy on the foot. The heel height makes them easy to wear and not fussy. They are SO cute on! I think these shoes will look fabulous all year round but I can see these looking great with some holiday looks for sure!
