Bad days, bad weeks, bad months, and even bad seasons will come as long as we are living; it’s a fact. No one likes to deal with them, but we can still choose joy in the midst of them! When we are having a bad day, believing and speaking out loud God’s Word always brings light to dark situations, allowing God’s comforting truth to uplift us.
Below you’ll find some Bible verses to cling to when you’re having a bad day, bad week, bad month, or bad season. My prayer is that you remain hopeful and encouraged no matter what comes your way!
“ I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)
Encouraging Bible Verses For When You’re Having a Bad Day

“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.” (Psalm 46:1)
“ Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” (Psalm 34:18)
“He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” (2 Corinthians 1:4)
Jesus is our resting place, as well as our strength!
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
Prayer Starter:
“Lord, Your word comforts and protects me. I am reminded of Your love, even on days that seem bad. I know that You cause all things to work together for my good. Because of You, I can choose joy.”
Wishing you all a great week!
