Blessings can be defined as God’s protection and favor. When we ask Jesus to come into our heart, He not only accepts us as we are, but He invites us into having a solid relationship with him. Therefore, we experience the blessings of God with every breath that we take here on Earth, and are promised to continue to live in the blessings of God for the rest of eternity.
God’s character is to be kind, merciful, and loving towards all. Life doesn’t always go perfectly, but He loves us so much that he expresses his thoughts of adoration by granting us His favor in our lives, continually pouring out good things for us to receive.
May the Lord bless you
and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace. (Numbers 24-26 NLT)
The Lord chooses to abundantly bless us. Comfort, peace, joy, hope, fellowship, eternal life with Him, prosperity, and success are blessings that come to mind when we reflect on how good God is to us. It is important to remember that yes, God freely blesses us, but we too, should do our part in the relationship by actively making an effort to be a blessing in to others. Sharing God-given blessings with others encourages and uplifts, aiding in creating loving relationships.
Action Plan:
Take some time this week to count your many blessings! Just Grab a pen and paper and choose a cozy spot to reflect on the goodness of God. During this time, write down EVERY single thing that you are blessed to have whether it is tangible or intangible. Next, outwardly thank God for the blessings in your life. Practice this often and even when you are feeling discouraged or unmotivated. Often times, you will find that there is actually an abundance of things to be thankful for; blessings big and small. Reflecting on and magnifying the good things changes our perspective to a more positive one. You will leave this time not only feeling thankful, but also refreshed in spirit 🙂

Prayer Starter:
“Lord, thank you for blessing me over and over again. I am appreciative of all that You do in my life. I pray for Your favor, protection, and guidance over my life.“
Wishing you all a great week!
