Wisdom is based on knowledge and can be defined as having good judgment, or as the quality of being wise. For Christians, Godly wisdom is something to seek on a constant basis and is easily obtained by spending quality time with God. Understanding what is true, right, or lasting from God’s perspective helps us to be one after His own heart. [Read more…]
A Good God
God is good! He’s the source of all things good. We can look to God to be the standard of goodness- the one and only perfect role model. Life can get uncertain and we may waiver in our faith, but it is very important that we keep in mind that God wants to do good things for us and provide good things to us. God is so good that He loves to bless us in order to bring glory to his name and also for us to help in build his kingdom. We are blessed to be a blessing! He even likes to bring good out of seemingly bad things that occur. [Read more…]
God’s Masterpiece
Through reading the Bible, it’s clear that God thinks very highly of us. In fact, we are all considered to be God’s masterpiece; His greatest work of art! At times, we have trouble actually seeing ourselves just as God sees us. Many things can come into play that can effect our perception of ourselves and most often things from our past do this. No matter how we feel about ourselves at the moment, we must know that we are absolutely perfect in the Lord’s eyes. The Bible teaches us that God loves us unconditionally. Wild sleepers, I guess). I thought to myself “don’t wake him up he’s so comfy – be really quiet.” To my surprise, from a deep sleep, I hear him say softly:
“Babe, whats wrong?'” as he turned over and grabbed my hand. [Read more…]
Abide In Him
God wants us to abide in Him and to rely on Him for everything. Practicing this takes a great deal of humility on our part. It may sometimes seem that we are able to do things on our own, but this is simply just not true! God’s Word says:
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5 NIV)
