When God gives us a task to carry out, He always gives us the tools we need to do the job well. Many times, God gives us a glimpse into what His will is by giving us a vision for something. When this vision reveals itself, we get overwhelmed to think of how big the job is. We can even wonder how on Earth we will be able to fulfill the vision! It’s true that we alone cannot fulfill God given visions. We need a helper: The Holy Spirit. His hand is always available for us to grasp as He leads us step by step, enabling us to carry out the will of God with grace. Limits are broken with the Help of the Lord!
Discerning God’s will is important in life and it can be hard to find it in the business of life, as well as with numerous distractions we all encounter each day. God’s will is something that has to be sought after by spending time with Him. When we become habitual about spending time with God, His will becomes clear to us and little by little we are able to carry out the given task.
God begins the process of fully equipping us for each task when we are willing to seek Him for guidance. I like to look at it this way: we have to give Him our will in order to clearly be in and carry out His will! If we don’t give up our own will, a power struggle develops in our life, and that clearly shows a lack of trust. If we find ourselves in this situation, it’s time to reevaluate things and get back on the right path with God. Simply ask for forgiveness, receive it by faith, and begin again.
We don’t have to wait until we feel like we have everything all together to accomplish visions that He has given us. God is so awesome that He chooses us just as we are, imperfections and all, to carry out His perfect plans!
10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10 NLT)
All we have to do is fully trust Him, be available, and accept His guidance along the way. Every single distraction has to be pushed out of the way so that we can hear God clearly. We have to be relentless about pursuing God and His will. This is a choice that we all can make today that will release us into living our best life, doing the good things that are pleasing to God.

“Lord, You are so amazing. I never want to be outside of Your will for my life. If I have veered away from You and the things of You, forgive me. I want to be where You are, always. Use me to carry out Your will and guide me along the way. I need You, Father.“
