Creamy blue nail polish shades are a must for spring and summer! Deborah Lippmann’s Blue Orchid has been on my wish list for quite a while, but it comes with a hefty price tag. I do have lots of fun shades in my polish collection, yet somehow when each new spring season rolls around, I find myself looking for that perfect cheerful creamy blue shade to compliment my skin tone best. I happened to be looking for bracelets in Forever 21 a few weeks ago and randomly found the perfect dupe for Blue Orchid: Forever 21 Gel Look in ‘Baby Blue.’

Pictures are just not reflective of just how beautifully creamy this is! Its more muted than your typical baby blue shade and comes off a much softer pale blue than most similar shades I’ve tried. It would look so pretty on all skin tones and is not a super saturated blue, which makes it perfect for me. I know many of you would love it too!

The formula and the range of colors to choose from on the Forever 21 Gel Look polishes is pretty impressive. With a base coat, two coats of this polish, and a topcoat, it lasted chip-free (and SUPER shiny) for a few days. What’s even better is each bottle can be purchased for less than a cup of coffee… Now that’s a good dupe! The formula goes on very smooth, not streaky. The brush is a generous size allowing for quick and easy application.

This one has made its way into my spring nail polish rotation! The color really stands out when wearing white, so I like the look of wearing it with my white distressed skinnies or even with a simple white t-shirt and jeans 🙂
