Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God who richly provides us with everything…” (1 Timothy 6:17)
God is many things, including being a good provider. Believers can find comfort in remembering the truth that God is our provider during tough times.
Our God is a God of endless provision! Provision comes in many forms. It is true that whatever it is we are in need of, the Lord will provide it! What a blessing! There are times where part of God’s provision is for us to actually go through unpleasant things. We know that in the end everything works out as part of the good plan God has for each of us.
Devotion: God’s Provision
Sometimes it may be harder to see, but we can be confident that God is always providing for us. God has unlimited resources; He sees all, knows all, and is in control of absolutely everything! We all want peace in life and the bible says that when we fix our minds on what is true, we then have the peace of God.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:8-9)
