Leaning on the promises of God makes us hopeful. Knowing that He keeps every promise to us gives much needed strength to keep going forward, no matter what situations come. Continually choosing to look forward brings joy!
Weeping may last through the night,
but joy comes with the morning. (Psalm 30:5)
Believers know that God is soverign and that He can always be trusted. Jesus guarantees that the wait as we endure life obstacles is much easier when we surrender to Him. Inner peace fuels us with courage and strength to go on living in a way that shows other people who Christ is.
Always remember: we have already been given the grace to endure, peacefully, when waiting to hear from God about what we have been praying for. Yes, peace is ALREADY yours! Accept it and basque in it, being sure to thank God for his goodness.
Many times, this concept of already having peace in the midst of uncertainty is easier said than done, because we are human; imperfect. Being human, we also tend to put confidence only in what can be seen. Christian’s confidence is strongly based on the unseen; believing and receiving by faith.
Although we are all naturally flawed in this way, making a conscious effort to meditate on what is good and true helps to pull the reigns of our thoughts and actions back in to that of being Christ-like, as God desires. He gives us the grace to do so.
For the Lord is good.
His unfailing love continues forever,
and his faithfulness continues to each generation. (Psalm 100:5 NLT)
God is light in our darkness! Search for Him, you’ll find Him. It’s a promise!
