“Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.” (Luke 2:10)

“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11)

“When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.” (Matthew 2:10)

“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21)

“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”). (Matthew 1:23)

“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men! ” (Luke 2:14)

“if you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” (Romans 10: 9-10)

The Most Special Gift

The Most Special Gift

Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! (2 Corinthians 9:15)

The Christmas season is a time of reflection, joy, and a time of celebration for Jesus being born. Jesus is the ultimate gift to humanity!

Jesus came so that we would experience life the way God intends us to, in a mighty way! Joy, peace, and love are ours because of Jesus! Without Him, the world is lost. He is light in the darkness. Keeping Jesus at the center of each Christmas season is one way that we experience the wonder of Jesus’ amazing love for us.

The Most Special Gift: A Christmas Devotion

Yes, Christmas is a great time to enjoy exchanging gifts with family and friends. But, In order to stay focused on what the true meaning of Christmas is, we must guard our hearts and minds, choosing to focus on the birth of Jesus over all of the material things as we celebrate with family and friends this holiday season.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9: 6-7)

One of the names of God is Emmanuel, which means “God with us.” He’s the ultimate gift. He’s the gift of love, peace, joy, and salvation! With a love that never fails us, Jesus is always there; with us no matter where life takes us. The message of Christmas is a very special one: You are loved.

Let’s make every effort to honor and reverence our Savior as we celebrate this Christmas. Jesus’ birth is the true meaning of Christmas.

Additional Verses to Further Study The Most Special Gift:

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Emmanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14)

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)

“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”  All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:  “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Emmanuel” (which means “God with us”).  When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.  But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.” (Matthew 1: 21-25)
Prayer Starter:
“Lord, You are love. Make our Christmas celebrations a true reflection the beauty and wonder of the first Christmas. Make the miracle of the Incarnation—“God with us”—a reality in me and in those I love.”
Wishing you all a great week!

The first thing that blew my mind was this FULL SIZE Exfoliating Treatment by Kate Somerville! I use this regularly in my routine and love the results from it. Use it a few times a week to improve cellular turnover and help your skin look smoother, brighter, and healthier!  Kate Somerville has an amazing reputation and her products are pricey, so getting a full size of this is pretty awesome! A full size of this treatment alone costs more than to total cost of this whole box! Great deal 🙂

Up next is the AHAVA Mineral Hand Cream in this generous size. This is perfect for keeping hands soft and smooth this winter.  There’s also a good hair mask inside:  Nelson J Beverly Hills Moisture Healing Hair Mask. Sounds dreamy!  Hair masks are my favorite, especially this time of year when my hair tends to be more dry and brittle than usual.

Then I got the Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette which has 8 matte and shimmer shades and includes a really nice highlighter. The insert shares tips on how to apply the shadow based off your eye shape!  And then the cute “Coming In Hot” mug from Ayesha Curry! She’s my favorite and I am so excited about this mug from her cook ware line!

There is also some workout gear inside- The Jillian Michaels Exercise Ball. The box includes everything you need to inflate the exercise ball and get started with access custom for workouts by Jillian Michaels on FabFitFun TV. This will come in handy for quick workouts at home.

Kindness and Generosity

Kindness and Generosity Devotion

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” (Acts 20:35)

Simply put, life gets busy for us all! Sometimes, we may find ourselves a little too wrapped up in our own life – what our problems are and what all we need to get done. This can be detrimental to others because we unknowingly tune them out, making us unaware to what someone else may be in need of.

Devotion: Kindness and Generosity

When we are show genuine care for others, we are demonstrating kindness. An attitude of kindness and generosity takes the focus off of own selves and instead, shifs the focus to looking at others. God can use use in a mighty way in the lives of other people!

Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38)

God often uses us in the simplest, most unexpected ways in the life of someone else. Our job is to show kindness and generosity to every person we come into contact with each day, even the familiar faces. Putting someone else’s needs before our own is essentially the biblical way to be kind. This is easy to do when we make it a point to completely trust God to take care of our needs. Remember to show kindness to everyone you encounter today!

Additional Verses to Further Study Kindness and Generosity

Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed. (Proverbs 19:17)

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:7)

Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. (Ephesians 4:32)

Prayer Starter:

“Lord, You have been kind and generous to me. I want to show the same kindness to others. Make me more aware of ways to bless others around me.”

Wishing you all a great week!
