My lashes are not long and voluminous naturally so when I see one mascara that promises to add so much to them, I can’t wait to give it a try. One item from the 2016 Redbook Magazine Red Box was this Ultimate All-In-One black mascara by Revlon. What intrigues me most about this mascara is the claim to equally intensify five things in my lashes: Volume, Length, Definition, Lift, and Color. Seems like the ideal mascara!
Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara Review
First of all, the matte black tube and glossy red top right up my alley. The slim, compact, and semi-flat shape tube makes it very nice to hold for application. This mascara has a similar feel of a higher end lipgloss in the hand. Therefore, the small shape fits nicely in any makeup organizer or bag. The choice of colors, white writing, and complete design used is very sleek and really lends a classic touch to the overall presentation.
Once its opened, you’ll notice the Revlon Power Mini Brush on this mascara is rather small compared to most mascaras that are intended for top lashes. I know the mini oval shape looks a little odd at first glance, but this actually turns out to be the feature that was surprisingly useful. While the applicator is small, it really delivers!
Having a smaller applicator tip makes this a dream to apply, because I am able to be really precise. Furthermore, the smaller wand and Power Mini Brush both really make it easy to get close to the base of my lashes for a good start and then move the wand upward without any hiccups. This makes a natural looking, full, and well-defined set of lashes.
I have no trouble getting to the lashes in the corners and what’s even better is I don’t have to make any awkward bends of the hand. This works great on lower lashes too, since the small tip isn’t messy. There won’t be any product all over the under eye area with this mascara!
Most of all, the formula is easy to work with because it’s thick and gives a glossy black finish on the lashes. It sets in no time and doesn’t leave a sticky film on lashes. The formula is ideal so multiple layers can be applied without getting clumpy and spider-leggy (ha!). As a result, the layers build on one another seamlessly, making a more dramatic look.

- small wand and brush allows you to really get to all lashes, even those in hard to reach places

Would I Recommend and Repurchase?
Yes to both! Overall, I would say that this is an impressive mascara. I never want to be without this in my makeup bag since giving it a try!
My lashes look very natural, while adding ALL of the benefits that Revlon promises. There’s no flaking or smudging when I use this… huge plus!
This definitely stays put all day and then easily wipes clean with my usual makeup remover. One thing to take note of is that I do notice a few tiny “tubes” of the mascara that are broken down by the makeup remover on the cotton pad at night that could possibly be mistaken for lashes coming out 🙂
