Hello, Summer! As the seasons change, products we use in our product rotations change as well. For me, summer is all about glowing skin with natural and effortless makeup. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF 30 Sunscreen
Everyone needs to wear sunscreen each day no matter what skin type or tone we have. This one by Neutrogena works great if you have oily skin and are prone to breakouts like me. It protects from harmful rays and it also acts as a primer under makeup due to the nice formula, which is a plus for oily skin! I never get breakout or feel greasy when this is on under my makeup, which is pretty impressive. I really love that it doesn’t leave a white cast on the skin, although it is white when it initially comes out of the tube.
C. Booth Ginger Sugar Body Scrub
In the summer when we tend to show a little more skin, exfoliating is key. This scrub is great to use a few times a week. This is a summer favorite because the fine sugar crystals do such a thorough job at really polishing the skin and also at leaving skin super soft. Did I mention this smells delicious? It has a light ginger scent that’s not artificial smelling at all. This is also incredibly moisturizing as well. The addition of almond oil and orange oil gives a glow to the skin even after patting dry.
Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Bronzer in Goddess
The croc inspired print on this bronzer is right up my alley. This bronzer gives a sun-kissed glow with a subtle shimmer that’s perfect for deeper skin tones. When applied to the bridge of my nose, brow bone, and just above my blush, I get a very natural look. A little goes a long way with this one. The tone of this is more of a bronzy-soft gold and gives the right amount of shimmer. I love this all year round and it just gets better and better as skin tans more in the summer. Goddess: The name of this couldn’t be more accurate!
The versatility of this mist makes it a must-have! Fix Plus keeps makeup from looking powdery and cakey, which gives the perfect summer glow. A few light sprays of this makes makeup look more on the dewy and glowing side, helping blend makeup into the skin. While it’s not a setting spray, I do think that this finishing spray does its job at making makeup look really natural when used properly. This keeps my skin hydrated and is great as a cool mist makeup refresher during the summer months when it’s so hot out.
Summer is all about cute sandals and this foot cream works so good to keep everything moisturized and looking pretty. Whenever this is applied, I always feel like I just got a spa pedicure 🙂 Another bonus is that this works wonders when lathered on at night with a cozy pair of socks for super soft skin in the morning.
Venus & Olay Razor in Sugarberry
The moisturizing shave gel bars on the sides of the blades really make my skin silky smooth and these smell lovely. They are really easy to use and not messy, which I love. I like to use mine with an additional shave crème on days that I have a few extra minutes to get ready, but that’s totally optional.
This is great for summer because it gives broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection while adding lots of moisture to the lips. It never feels sticky or greasy. The shape is always so easy to find in any bag I am carrying, so that’s nice! The summer fruit scent couldn’t be more perfect for the season and the list of ingredients are great at keeping lips smooth. This goes well under any lipstick or gloss I am wearing.
