It’s International Day Of The Bible!

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE BIBLE

One of my favorite ways to experience the Bible daily is through YouVersion, a fantastic Bible App. I love using this app for so many reasons, one being that it’s super convenient and easy to use. I’m a mommy and am always on the go with my toddler, so I love having access to God’s word instantly during those quiet moments throughout the day. Because today is International Day Of The Bible, I’m sharing a few of my absolute favorite bible verses 🙂 Each of these inspires me and encourages me in my own life.

A Few of My Favorite Verses

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” (Phillipians 4:13)

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23)

“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

“but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

This are just a handful of my favorites… it’s hard to narrow it down because I love so many! What are some of your favorites? God is Our Helper

God is our Helper_ Psalm 121 Devotion In God, we have a Father, a Savior, a Friend, and a great Helper. God is whatever we need him to be in our lives. He’s the great I Am! Psalm 121 gives more reassurance of this truth as we go further into the verse:

He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you—the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” (Psalm 121)

Bearing Good Fruit Devotion

A tree can bear good fruit or bad fruit. Likewise, bearing good fruit is evidence of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. Godly fruit is long-lasting and it flourishes.

Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit” (Matthew 7:17-18).

We can produce good fruit no matter what season of life we are in. However, obedience to God, our attitudes, as well as our approach to each situation determines the condition any fruit we bear. A Mind That Is Renewed

An unfocused mind eventually brings on discouragement and discontentment. We are constantly inundated with images and ideas that we need the next thing or event to happen in order to be worthy and in order to be fulfilled … yes, FINALLY happy! But this is simply not true! We can enjoy where we are with what we’ve got at the present moment, knowing that we are exactly where God wants us to be. Actively Waiting for God

Sometimes we find that we have prayed many times about the same situation and notice there is still no answer. This can be very discouraging and frustrating, making it easy for our joyful attitude to dwindle away. When joy leaves us, it is very easy to settle and simply “learn to live with it” and think “oh well, that’s just the way it is.” God promises to meet all of our needs, and He does not want us to have a negative viewpoint towards our situations.

My God will meet your every need out of his riches in the glory that is found in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 CEB)
