Bearing Good Fruit Devotion

A tree can bear good fruit or bad fruit. Likewise, bearing good fruit is evidence of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. Godly fruit is long-lasting and it flourishes.

Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit” (Matthew 7:17-18).

We can produce good fruit no matter what season of life we are in. However, obedience to God, our attitudes, as well as our approach to each situation determines the condition any fruit we bear. God calls us to be fruitful; to get positive results and to make a positive impact, all for his glory. [Read more…]

God's Masterpiece

Through reading the Bible, it’s clear that God thinks very highly of us. In fact, we are all considered to be God’s masterpiece; His greatest work of art! At times, we have trouble actually seeing ourselves just as God sees us. Many things can come into play that can effect our perception of ourselves and most often things from our past do this. No matter how we feel about ourselves at the moment, we must know that we are absolutely perfect in the Lord’s eyes. The Bible teaches us that God loves us unconditionally. He never stops loving us, but we sometimes find it difficult to receive His love because of our own feelings of guilt over wrong attitudes and behaviors. [Read more…]
