An unfocused mind eventually brings on discouragement and discontentment. We are constantly inundated with images and ideas that we need the next thing or event to happen in order to be worthy and in order to be fulfilled … yes, FINALLY happy! But this is simply not true! We can enjoy where we are with what we’ve got at the present moment, knowing that we are exactly where God wants us to be. A Good God
God is good! He’s the source of all things good. We can look to God to be the standard of goodness- the one and only perfect role model. Life can get uncertain and we may waiver in our faith, but it is very important that we keep in mind that God wants to do good things for us and provide good things to us. God is so good that He loves to bless us in order to bring glory to his name and also for us to help in build his kingdom. We are blessed to be a blessing! Abide In Him
God wants us to abide in Him and to rely on Him for everything. Practicing this takes a great deal of humility on our part. It may sometimes seem that we are able to do things on our own, but this is simply just not true! God’s Word says:
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5 NIV)
