Hope your January was great and you have been able to keep personal goals + resolutions that you made! I’ve been able to stick most of mine so far, which makes you feel AMAZING, right?! Today I have a special blog post in collaboration with Wayfair. Let’s chat about my Top 5 Resolutions in Decor. Hopefully you’ll get some ideas for simple ways you can update your own home this year!

Decor Resolution #1: Flowers Galore!

Ahhh, whats not to love about waking up to fresh flowers on your nightstand or seeing a gorgeous arrangement of flowers in your living room? One resolution I have for this year is to always keep fresh flowers in my house. Simple arrangements look gorgeous and instantly boost the mood! I have been loving the look of mostly white bouquets for now, but once spring and summer come along, more color will be great as I swap out my throw pillows and accessories!

Decor Resolution #2: Desk, Bathroom, and Toiletry Organization

Having my own designated space to create makes me more productive and focused. I know that my best work always comes when I am in a space that reflects my style and that feels light and airy. So this year I am looking for unique ways to organize my desk, while keeping with a chic & minimalistic approach. I also want to display my fragrances in a fun way in the master somehow…possibly a galvanized tiered tray on the bathroom vanity.

Decor Resolution #3: Add More Coffee Table Books, Decorative Trays, & Unique Trinkets 

Not only are coffee table books good conversation starters, but they functional and stylish on side tables, shelves, and coffee tables. Need a little height? Add a stack of your favorite coffee table books to an arrangement to instantly give it more interest.  It’s nice to relax a little while flipping through the pages of a beautiful coffee table book. This is where I get lots of ideas and inspiration.

Decor Resolution #4: YES to All Things Cozy (and mirrored)!

The whole rustic glam style has my heart! There’s just something pretty and intriguing about mixing the extremities of super feminine and glam with the more natural, rustic and masculine elements. With this decorating style, balance is key. The idea is for things to feel warm and inviting at all times, so I’ll be adding even more cozy, natural elements to our home this year. Luxe textures: faux fur throws, fuzzy throw pillows, and mirrored pieces are always welcome here! Bench seating gets more cozy with a throw and decorative pillow or two. Adding a blanket ladder is a great way to store extras for guests!

Decor Resolution #5: Add a Chandelier to the Master Closet

Adding a chandelier to our master closet has been on the list for some time now, and this year is going to be THE year! A chandelier would be perfect in that space and will coordinate well with the bedding, decor, and airy overall vibe. I’ve paired down my wardrobe significantly by donating a ton of things, thanks to this book by Mari Condo. If you haven’t read it yet, you’re missing out! Feels great to purge and have only the things I absolutely love and feel my best in. Besides … I’m the only girl in the house, so adding a pretty sparkly chandelier has to happen, right? 🙂
