I’m absolutely obsessed since I have finally gotten my hands on one of the new Limited Edition Vaseline Pink Bubbly Lip Therapy tins! I had been on the hunt for this balm since its mid-July release here in the US. I finally snagged the last container on the shelf near me couple of weeks ago.
If you are a fellow lip balm addict like myself, you can relate when I say that I never want to be caught with parched lips!
I’ve long been a fan of using the Vaseline Lip Therapy line on my lips to lock in moisture. I adore the Rosy Lips formula, among others released lately. The mini tubs are just the cutest little things! I mean, have you seen the sparkly Swarovski Crystal Edition containers from years past? LOVE!
Okay, on to the review…
Pink Bubbly Review
First things first: the tin and the overall packaging of Vaseline Pink Bubbly Lip Therapy: this tin is SUPER cute and you need it! Pink Bubbly is not only perfect for the remainder of summer, but is necessary as we head into fall’s cooler temps which can wreak havoc on our lips. The colors used are very feminine and look so chic in any handbag. Reaching for this pretty little tin makes me giddy each time!
Pink Bubbly makes the perfect addition to any beauty routine because I can’t think of anyone who likes the feel of dry lips. With matte lipsticks being all the rage right now, this is definitely be a product that I find adorably useful to prep lips before applying the matte lipstick.
I use a light layer just before I apply matte lipsticks and it layers under them beautifully. It does not take away from the matte effect at all. Blotting a little before matte lippie application works wonders.
Once the tin is opened, a gorgeous blush pink hue catches the eye. There is an addictive, sweet, yet slightly floral scent that is amazing. Scents are so personal, and I happen to really like this one. This lip balm is enriched with champagne grape extract, giving off the aroma of a fizzy drink. How perfect?
In my experience using this balm on my lips, you won’t get much color payoff, but that may be because my lips are naturally more pigmented. If someone uses this that has less pigment on the lips, there may be a very faint pink tint when applied. Although I don’t get much color payoff, I still really LOVE this lip balm and the healing benefits it provides.
The formula is silky and does not disappoint. As Vaseline claims, there is no greasiness, but rather a smooth balm with a promise to prevent and heal dry lips. The formula of the Lip Therapy balms are custom-made for lips. Pink Bubbly smells amazing, makes my lips soft, hydrated, and never sticky. This is great to use many different ways, including applying as part of any daytime and nighttime routine.
Use this lip balm on its own during the day to create a subtle natural look. Apply over top of your favorite lipstick to add just the right amount of shine, as well. Add just a little sugar to Pink Bubbly and it works great for a simple DIY lip scrub a few times a week. This is definitely a multi-tasker!
