Pursuing the Lord faithfully and with zeal (with great energy; enthusiasm for a particular purpose) allows us to experience His glory on a deeper level. When we pray, we believe that by faith, the Lord hears our prayers. God is our Father as well as our friend; therefore He cares about every issue that we care about. In fact, believing that God hears, cares, and is constantly at work on our behalf, fills the heart of believers with hope for the future.

Everything God asks us to do is for our gain. The verse above is one that is near and dear to my heart. I often hear the Lord softly whisper these words to me. God desires for us to have a clean, pure, honest, and repentant heart. He longs for us to have a heart that loves all, just as He does. Whatever issues we allow in our hearts affect our thoughts, attitudes, and the deepest part of us. Being aggressive in protecting our own heart, ensures that we are being sensitive to things that could cause damage to its overall condition.
