Through reading the Bible, it’s clear that God thinks very highly of us. In fact, we are all considered to be God’s masterpiece; His greatest work of art! At times, we have trouble actually seeing ourselves just as God sees us. Many things can come into play that can effect our perception of ourselves and most often things from our past do this. No matter how we feel about ourselves at the moment, we must know that we are absolutely perfect in the Lord’s eyes. The Bible teaches us that God loves us unconditionally. He never stops loving us, but we sometimes find it difficult to receive His love because of our own feelings of guilt over wrong attitudes and behaviors. [Read more…]

Last month flew by and now it’s time for the Currently March monthly link-up! Since joining in on link-ups, I have learned that they are a unique way to connect with others and its always such fun to see and share the little things we are all doing! Equally Yoked Relationships
7:25 am. Saturday.
It was a cold morning outside and the house felt warm and cozy, everyone was sleeping soundly. I woke up before anyone else to an extremely heavy heart, with tons things on my mind as soon as my eyes opened. I was extremely unsettled about some personal relationships, had some doubts, some fears, was reminded of my shortcomings…you name it, I was feeling it and it all was SO heavy on my heart. I felt so many unpleasant emotions, all at once, to the point of tears beginning to stream down my face as I continued to lie with my back towards Eddie and his to mine (somehow, no matter what way we end up falling asleep at night, we more often than not end up like this by morning! Wild sleepers, I guess). I thought to myself “don’t wake him up he’s so comfy – be really quiet.” To my surprise, from a deep sleep, I hear him say softly:
“Babe, whats wrong?'” as he turned over and grabbed my hand. [Read more…]
Modern White Desks
Modern white desks are extremely popular right now and look very glamorous in a home. As I flipped through the pages of the new Spring 2016 ZGallerie catalog, I was in awe of this beautifully modern and chic white desk with gold detail on the base! Its gorgeous, right?! This makes such a statement!
I have had my eye on some sort of modern and practical white desk since we made our formal dining room (which by the way we have never used as a dining room haha!) into a play space for our little Jacob. In that play space, I’m incorporating a designated workspace that’s all mine! While the Sydney Desk is gorgeous and I adore it, I want something just a little more understated to fit the overall design of the playroom.
I am really loving the modern simplicity of the Josephine Desk. The large drawer is great for tucking away supplies and the X legs make it feel modern. I will be able to make it fancy with fabulous desk accessories 🙂 I have not quite made up my mind on which desk I will go with, but I have been searching for quite some time now and wanted to share some options for modern white desks for any of you that may be on the hunt as well! This roundup has stylish white desks with various metal details at the bases, as well as some desk accessories that pair nicely with each of them. Some desk options are very ornate, while others are more simple. All are equally pretty! Enjoy! [Read more…]
Recent Beauty Buys
Lots of beauty related things have been on my mind lately! Last weekend, I had a chance to grab some of them at Ulta, Sephora, and The Vitamin Shoppe. After I’ve been using them for a few weeks, it’ll be interesting to see which ones make it into the ultimate list of products I’m loving lately. For any beauty product lover, its always interesting to see what others are shopping for at the moment so we can each add more and more to our lists haha! Some items I have already gotten around to using this week, while others… not so much just yet! I will hopefully get to all of them soon. Keep reading for some of my recent beauty buys!
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water
I got the one with the pink top. The blue one removes waterproof makeup as well, so it needs to be shaken up before use, much like many eye makeup removers. Micellar waters are all the rage lately and this particular one was on my radar! Micelles act as a magnet to remove makeup with minimal tugging on skin. I wanted to try something different for removing makeup and I have started using this stuff already. So far, SO good! It is really refreshing and gentle. It really reminds me of the packaging on Bioderma!
Smith’s Rosebud Salve
I don’t know why its taken me THIS LONG to try this stuff but we all know its a true cult-favorite! I picked it up on a recent Sephora run and I actually couldn’t wait and I opened it in the car! Its really, really good! I see what all the hype has been about! What I love most is it is a multi-purpose balm: helps diaper rash, lip balm, soothes dry and irritated skin on the body, soothes burns, good for cuticles, fly-aways and more. It smells great, like roses. Win, win! [Read more…]
